Honestly, I think the first time I had ever witnessed a live auction was at last year's Harvest of Talents in Morristown. How did I make it that far in life without seeing one? I don't know! I do know I had certainly never participated in one. And I had no idea that it could be as exciting as it was!
Last year, Tammra Russell of Kyles Ford Auction Company donated her time and talent as our auctioneer. Check out the company website here. She donned a teal Harvest of Talents volunteer shirt above her long, flowy skirt and went to work to help us raise money to feed hungry people. And it was so entertaining and engaging! If you haven't seen the video slideshow of the 2012 Morristown Harvest, watch it here to see a bit of Tammra in action at about 4:22 in the video. We're so glad to say that Tammra will be returning as auctioneer to this year's event, once again donating her time and talent for a worthy cause. She has also helped us out by posting our auction on AuctionZip, a site where auction lovers and bargain hunters would look to find promising auctions, and has even posted a few pictures on that site for potential customers to see. Check out the listing for our auction here. I have to say, I was pumped to see that she'd posted our auction to such an official site that will help spread the word to more people who may not otherwise hear about Harvest. Tammra, the Harvest of Talents planning team thanks you once again for your contribution--and I personally look forward to watching you run the auction this Saturday. I know I can expect you to make me laugh, smile, and bid on some items! - Hayley
