As you may know, the 2013 Morristown Harvest of Talents is coming up very soon: Saturday, September 28!
Well, one small group at Lakeway Community Church is using their weekly gathering time to get ready.
Some people are bringing their personal HOT projects to small group to work on; others are working on projects arranged by Katie and me, since we're members not only of the small group but also of the HOT Planning Team.
At any rate, we are creating, crafting, researching, planning, helping one another--and devoting intentional time as a community to the Harvest of Talents.
What about you? Do you have a group of people who would join you in an effort to use your talents to feed hungry people? Could your small group (if you have one) take a break from a traditional study and instead gather to work on HOT projects? Could you have some friends over one afternoon or weekend to execute a project your coordinate? Maybe you have your own idea for how you could practice intentional community and prepare for HOT.
Leave a comment and tell us what you're doing--or what your group is doing. We'd love to hear about it!
P.S. Soon we'll hear from another member of the small group mentioned above, Drew Robinson. Check back to see what he has to say about our group projects and HOT. Also, Check the blog frequently in the next month as we share pictures of projects we complete and that others submit. We'll be giving you previews of items for sale and auction!
