2015 HOT Funds Update Newsletter #1

As the preparation for Harvest of Talents East TN continues, I thought it would be nice to share some of the newsletters we've received that tell how HOT funds are currently being put to use. May these stories bless and inspire you. 

From North India Christian Mission (NICM.org)

IDES has been partnering with NICM over the past years in many ways, but one of the most helpful has been the HOT program. This giving has allowed NICM to supply food to the truly broken orphans, rag pickers, elderly, children, and lepers in Northwest India. 

At a feeding camp in Machiwaada, a lady, Nita, approached the line where rice was being served. She had 2 small children. She was begging for a plate of rice and lentils. Starvation had driven her body to weakness and the worst part was seeing her children grow up in a state of continual hunger. She had no one to turn to because she was just a widow in a society where she was cursed by fate to live life alone. NICM reached out to her in love...

She ate. She drank. She wept. We testified. 

We are continuing to minister to Nita and her children. Pray with us for Nita that she will come to know Christ as her personal Savior. 

We at NICM are continually thankful for the IDES group and their loving compassion for the needs of the homeless and the loveless. May God truly bless you for all you do to support missionaries around the world.
